The MAD Titan AKA Thanos has given us a lot of quotes in his MCU journey. Though that mainly consists of Infinity War to Endgame. Not to mention after watching Avengers: Endgame we have to agree that he was the best villain in the MCU.
Yes, I know it was always meant to be that way. Because Marvel was building him for more than 10 years. Thanos was not like other villains who just wanted to kill people for fun or rule the world. He had the vision to make the universe a better place for everyone else.
However, there is a huge debate between fans about whether he was right or wrong. In Addition to this, Some People said he lacked vision. As he should just double the resources. While fans come with the counter that It won’t work as the population will then increase really fast.
This means the same situation will come back as before or even worse. Regardless, we have to agree that he has left a mark on the heart and minds of all the MCU fans. All of his vision and why he thinks he is right shows in his words.
With wisdom, he spits the facts that always left us wandering or at least thinking twice about his vision. Of course, we have to give the props to Marvel for making Thanos a great villain. Building a character for 10 years. Making him loved by fans while he is beating the sh*t out of their favorite character.
This thing is an achievement in itself. As a matter of fact, yes, I am a die-hard RDJ and Iron Man’s fan. But this didn’t stop me from loving Thanos. ‘No Homo’. So here we’re today sharing with you the best Thanos Quotes from his MCU Journey:
Let’s first look at the top Quotes from Avengers: Infinity War.
1. “Fine I’ll do it myself.”
Yes, I know this is not from Infinity War. But this quote from Thanos is worthy enough to be here on this list. And perhaps the best quote to start Thanos quotes list. This was shown in the post-credit scene of Avengers: Age of Ultron.
However, this doesn’t take place at that time. It has been said that this particular scene takes place at the exact time when Ragnarok happened and just before Infinity War.
As we see Thanos gets his hands on the gauntlet after he attacked Niðavellir. After Loki and Ronin both failed him along with his daughters, he said this “Fine, I’ll do it myself.“
2. “Dread it Run from it Destiny Arrives all the same.”
I will never forget this moment in my entire life. Imagine sitting in a theater and the first thing you saw is Mad Titan holding Thor like he is a Lego toy. Then comes his dialogue:
“I know what it’s like to lose. To feel so desperately that you’re right, yet to fail nonetheless. It’s frightening, turns the legs to jelly. But I ask you to what end? Dread it. Run from it. Destiny arrives all the same. And now it’s here. Or should I say, I am”
From this moment I knew this was going to be a hell of a ride.
3. “Your optimism is misplaced, Asgardian.”
This is one of the most Badass quotes from Thanos. When Loki says “I assure you brother, the sun will shine on us again.” He is literally undermining Thanos in front of himself. Or perhaps he thought Hulk would solve his problem.
But that didn’t go that way. Anyways Thanos did take any offense and laughs it off by saying, “Your optimism is misplaced, Asgardian.“
4. “Perfectly Balanced, as all this should be.”
This quote doesn’t need an introduction. It also applies to our real-life as well. Nature always balances things out. But Thanos decides it was his job to bring back the balance in the Universe.
When Thanos’ army was slaughtering Gamora’s planet. Thanos saw her as she was looking for his mom. And Then he comforts her and shows her his little perfectly balanced knife. He says, “Look. Pretty, isn’t it? Perfectly balanced. As all things should be.”

5. “Reality is often disappointing.”
This was the first time we saw the real power of Reality Stone. Not to mention it made me remember how badly Reality Stone was used in Thor: Dark World.
But after this shot, this stone was like a completely different thing. When I first saw Thanos dying, my reaction was the same as Star-Lord.
Later, when I saw that this was all the work of reality stone, Actually made me say “Reality is Disappointing.” Which then takes us to the next quote.
6. “Reality can be whatever I want.”
Continues straight after the previous line: “Reality is often Disappointing… That is, it was. Now…reality can be whatever I want.“
7. “A small price to pay for Salvation.”
This is where the MAD Titan explains his philosophy clearly. How he saved gamora and her Planet. How people on her planet used to sleep hungry and scrounged for scraps.
He continues as he explains now how the population has thrived since then. To which Gamora replies because you murdered half the planet. Then comes Thanos quote: “A small price to pay for Salvation.”

8. “The Universe is finite, its resources finite.”
Gamora says you’re insane as her response to his “pay for salvation” quote. Thanos then explains her simple calculus. “This universe is finite, its resources, finite… if life is left unchecked, life will cease to exist. It needs correction.”
9. “I’m sorry Little one.”
Thanos is a person who believed in destiny and therefore he must do what is needed to be done. No matter the cost, As Avengers said in Endgame, “Whatever it takes.
Hence we saw him sacrificing his daughter who he truly loved even if gamora didn’t believe him. As he told her, “I ignored my destiny once, I can not do that again. Even for you. I’m sorry Little one.“
10. “They called me a mad man.”
Here comes my favorite part. The conversation between Dr. Strange and Thanos. I believe this whole conversation is worthy to be quoted. So I’m gonna list a lot of quotes from this convo alone.
And this is the first one when Thanos tells Strange how he predicted extinction and about his solution. This is how the conversation goes:
Thanos: Titan was like most planets. Too many mouths, not enough to go around. And when we faced extinction, I offered a solution.
Dr. Strange: Genocide.
Thanos: At random. Dispassionate, fair to rich and poor alike. They called me a mad man.
11. “I could simply snap my fingers and they would all cease to exist.”
This was Thanos’s comeback when Dr. Strange calls him a psychopath who wants to murder trillions. Now, here we get a lot more info as to why Thanos desperately wanted those stones and what was his motive behind that.
Thanos replies “With all six stones, I could simply snap my fingers. they would all cease to exist. I call that mercy.“
12. “The hardest choices require the strongest wills.”
See that’s what I am saying. There’s no way I can ever forget this conversation between Stephen Strange and MAD Titan. I could honestly watch a three-hour-long video with just both of them talking.
This is probably the best line from his entire conversation. As it applied perfectly to our real life. Thanos talks about the sacrifice in this dialogue, “Hardest choices require the strongest wills.”
13. “You’re not the only one cursed with knowledge.”
The meeting of Tony Stark with the MAD Titan. And it’s crazy that Thanos knows who Stark is and he respects him as well. This is also a deep quote as well. As it probably means a lot.
Remember the time when Tony couldn’t sleep because he knew too much and always tried to solve the problem. And then when he figured out that he needed to build a suit of armor around the world. As he said, “that’s up, that’s the Endgame.”
Knowledge might not be a curse in Tony’s perspective because he simply said, “My only curse is you.” But in Thanos’ perspective, it is a curse. As he believed they are the ones who need to do most of the sacrifices.
14. “When I’m done, half of humanity will still be alive.”
This was the moment of ultimate fear when Thanos literally killed our beloved Iron Man. He said “You’ve my respect stark when I’m done half of humanity will still be alive. I hope they remember you.” And I was like no, no, no, please then came our savior, Dr. Strange.

15. “You should’ve gone for the head.”
With this quote, I will try to sum up the beauty of the Infinity war. Even at the end of the movie they made us Believe that Avengers won.
That’s the greatness of this moment. At that moment I thought yes finally, he is dead. But Nope as Thanos advised Thor: “You should have gone for the head.”
Now let’s move on to the quotes of Thanos from Avengers: Endgame. Unlike Infinity War, Endgame wasn’t a Thanos movie but rather an Avengers movie. Nonetheless, we still get some great MAD Titan moments. Here are some of them:
16. “Gone reduced to atoms.”
Thanos doesn’t waste his time, even though he is just chilling and watching the sunrise in a grateful universe. he does have a lot of time but when Avengers ask him where are the stone he simply replies to them: “Gone. Reduced to atoms.“
To which Banner replies, “You used them two days ago.” Behold! more wise words are incoming: “I used the Stones to destroy the Stones. It nearly killed me, but the work is done. It always will be.” Which inevitably then leads us to the next quote.
17. “I am Inevitable.”
This quote is one of the most powerful quotes from Thanos. He believed in destiny and when he accomplished his mission. He quotes, “I am inevitable.”
This quote shows how focused he was towards his goal and when he finally achieved it, he showed how it was unavoidable and it was his destiny.
Ya, I know Thanos was destroyed by Iron Man at the end when he said that but still, it is a powerful quote. So that now I’ve brought Iron Man here, I think you’d also like the best quotes from tony stark as well. I have shared his top quotes from Iron man to endgame.
18. “Perhaps I treated you too harshly.”
While Thanos was cruel and a really bad Father, he finally admits that he treated Nebula too harshly. When she tells Avengers that her father is many things but a liar is not one of them.
This shows that even though Thanos was a cruel Father her children weren’t. Both Nebula and Gamora gained a lot of wisdom from their dad. It is just that Thanos got so busy in his mission that he never looked towards his children, even though deep down he loved them.
19. “You couldn’t live with your own failure. Where did that bring you? Back to me.”
Thanos was sitting calm as MCU’s trinity walked towards him to confront him. And then Thanos starts giving them his wisdom, “You couldn’t live with your own failure. Where did that bring you? Back to me.“
Trust me guys, even though this version of Thanos didn’t have the infinity stones but still he was way crueler than the one we saw in Infinity War. This whole conversation between our heroes and MAD Titan is worthy to be quoted.
20. “A Grateful Universe.”
As I said this whole conversation is worthy of quoting. Thanos tells the Big Three about his new Plans. As Thanos explains that if there are people who remember what the planet earlier was, there will always be those who won’t accept what the planet can be.
To which Tony replied: “Yep. We’re all kinds of stubborn.” Now Thanos tell’em that he is thankful cause now he no what he must do. His plan is now to completely destroy the Universe and build a new one. “A grateful Universe”.
21. “I’m gonna enjoy it very, very much.”
That was the most brutal avatar of Thanos. he was from the past obviously and pissed off from Avengers. He was nearly defeated by Captain America. Then when he broke his shield he explains how he is gonna feel now:
“In all my years of conquest, violence, slaughter, it was never personal. But I’ll tell you now, what I’m about to do to your stubborn, annoying little planet… I’m gonna enjoy it. Very, very much.“
